Engineered for accuracy and performance, our instruments are of rugged design and have an excellent reliability record, which has lead them to become the standard for many large OEM customers.
Designed for monitoring smoke and dust emissions in the exhaust gas of industrial combustion and air filtration processes, our range of low cost, low maintenance opacity and particulate monitors are easy to install, simple to use and available in a variety of different models and configurations, making them an ideal solution to any continuous emissions monitoring or process control requirement.
Our dust and particulate monitors employ one of two different types of measurement technique, both based on optical transmission.
Each technique has it's advantages and is suitable for differing industrial applications:
- Opacity; using the light transmission technique. This is a recognised technology for monitoring of visible emissions in combustion, air filtration, large stack and high dust applications.
- Dynamic Detection Principle (Scintillation) technique; measuring the dynamic fluctuation in the light transmission. This
is most suitable for large stacks and relatively high dust loading, of larger dust particle size.

All DynOptic Systems instruments offer the following features:
- In-situ measurement directly in the exhaust gas flow
- Measurement reading presented as either % Opacity or mg/m³ , depending on model selection
- Choice of interface options enabling easy integration into any plant control system including isolated and scalable 4-20mA outputs, ModBus serial communications, “walk-up” USB connections and alarm level relay contacts
- Free utility software for PC based setup, control and data logging
- Optional Operator Interface with different mounting configurations including wall mounted, rack mounted or panel mounted units
- IP65 rated external enclosure with weather covers also available for additional protection
